dunlin - i heart you

i have been OBSESSED with dunlin bags since i first laid my eyes on them a few years ago at oak and opening ceremony.  i wasn't even into bags until i discovered this line!  like a dumbass, i didn't make it to the store opening a few months ago, but dunlin opened up a boutique in williamsburg, and i finally made it down to williamsburg this past wknd to see it.  the store is awesome, the bags are awesome, and we got to meet one of the designers (she was japanese, so i'm assuming she was Shiho Nagashima).  She was so sweet and so excited to see that i was wearing one of their bags.  there were all these leather bundles behind the counter and she was telling us how they make each bag and handfinish them in the studio behind the store (my bag was handfinished!)  there are also some of the less complicated styles that are made in manhattan, but everything is made domestically.  after my personal experiences working in the corporate fashion world for the last 5 years, what they have going on is my dream.
