i also saw andrea dezso's work (tunnel books) at the slash paper exhibit at MAD museum, and they were so beautiful.
i didn't realize that i had seen her work previously at the pricked extreme embroidery exhibit (also at MAD) a couple of years ago.

georgia russell
i came across her work on stylesight the other day, and saw one of her pcs at the MAD MUSEUM slash paper exhibit (ny). the books in the bell jars are amazing, and the cut book jackets are so intricate and detailed. there's something so creepy but beautiful about these.

crochet reef
i was googling some fiber artist, and i came across arlene mintzer (fiber artist and professor). i was lucky enough to take a hand knitting class with her at parsons for one of my electives and she was such an encouraging professor. everyone in the class hated me cause they thought i was some nerdy loser in the AAS program while they were all under 20 and they were all getting their BFA.
BACK to arlene mintzer - so i started googling her, and came across the crochet reef exhibition (group show) which has been traveling around the world. (unfortunately i missed it in ny by a year and a half).
this is amazing! if anything, knowing the sheer amount of labor and time (in addition to how beautiful it is).

josef and anni albers
just went to the bauhaus exhibit at the moma (still haven't checked out tim burton) and it was really cool...
came across a few artists that i never really bothered looking into - two of them were josef & anni albers.
this isn't really my style, i feel like this is stuff that chris likes more, but i was really inspired by the pcs that i saw there.

working in fashion and looking at colors all the freaking time, i thought these color compositions were really unexpected and great together.
